The Family support Practise is a company managed and run by experienced qualified social workers and experienced project managers.

We recognise the current climate of resource pressures upon both local authorities and the private sector.

We are able to provide a service without an additional agency fee, as all our consultants are independent workers; therefore, our rates are very competitive.


Our Directors:


Samia Baig (BA hons, CQSW and Prince 2 trained to Practitioner level)

Samia has 30 years plus of operational fieldwork experience of which 15 years are in project management specifically in relation to implementation, support, training, and development of Liquidlogic Social Care systems including Children and Adult systems. The fieldwork element of the experience includes 20 years of management experience across the range of operational fieldwork teams includes, referral and assessment, Children in need, Child protection, Looked After Children services, Care Leavers, Independent Reviewing service; the resources element of the service including Children’s homes and Fostering and Adoption services.

In addition, she is an experienced mentor of independent social work professionals  and offers expert independent assessments  in the role of expert witness in the family courts. 

Has also been involved in a range of improvement and quality assurance projects across Local authorities and in the private sector.


Rashida Baig (BA hons, Diploma in SW)

Rashida has 36 years of experience in social care including applied research and training, registration and inspection in the early years, OFSTED inspector, operational fieldwork in social care, particular expertise in court work and independent services to the courts in relation to complex assessments both in the UK and abroad.

Her key skills include experience of managing across a range of children’s services including Referral and Assessment Teams, child protection, long term looked after, leaving care services and Early help services. Also experienced in a range of improvement and quality assurance work in the field of Childrens Services; mentor and coach of staff across Childrens Services; experienced project manager that has been involved in the implementation and development of Social Care systems.

Considerable training delivered in the social care field across a range of departments. Over 10 years’ experience an Honorary Research Associate at Royal Holloway in the Centre for Ethnic Minorities with extensive experience in delivering equality training across a range of client group including some published work in the field.


Haroon Rasheed (B’Eng Hons project manager, trainer)

Haroon has over 30 years of FMCG experience. He has held responsibility for associate safety and plant safety for assets worth £300million+.

His skills include project management, coaching and training. His qualifications include Lean Manufacturing & CI ideology,6 Sigma Green Belt, Basic Problem Solving Trainer (of White Belt), HACCP, IOSH + RA trained Technical Risk Assessment Trained (and Trainer).

He has experience of using digital platform (POKA) to develop training materials, he has significant experience in quality assurance and compliancy audits to LRQA standards (Lloyds registered Quality Assurance).
